# calculating time to go a set distance

1. ## calculating time to go a set distance

I'm doing a spreadsheet that calculates how much time it takes to go 1 mile at different speeds
1 (mile) is in cell E1
25mph is in cell A28

E1/A28*60 is the formula in cell B28

e.g. 1 mile/25 mph*60= 2.4 minutes
.4 *60 = 24 seconds 25mph = 2 min 24 sec

The .4 is a separate calculation

How can I calculate just the .4 in one formula in that cell? (B28)or
How can I bring just the .4 in a different cell (C28) to be calculated?

Thanks

Dividing 2.4 by 1440 and formatting as mm:ss gives 02:24

Thanks EdMac that helps too. But how do I only get 2 decimal places for my seconds now. It comes up with E.G 2 min 27.2727272727272 how do I round it to 27 min 27 seconds?
