    Validation Problem

I have validation set on a spreadsheet that will create a drop down box and users to add the information they need, i want this set by default to "NO" but when i do a count i only want it to count the "NO" that have infornmation in other cells, is there a way we can have the cells where the validation is set to blank but if information is entered into any other cell this will then default it to no.

Information is in Clolumns A - H and the validation is in Cloumn I

I hope this is clear enough ig you need a sample please let me know

    Thanks

You could count the number of No's in column I that only have data in other columns using something like this, which checks for data in column A:

If I9=No, but A9 is blank, it won't count. If A9 has a value, it will count.
