    IF Formulas

Attached is a sample 2003 PC Excel formatted file with 2 worksheets that I desperately need help with. I know this is probably incredibly simple for others, but I am completely stumped.

Anyway: The first worksheet entitled "Needs Updating" is a list of customers with ID#, financial information and a whole bunch of other information that I need for work and manually update and change.

However, the report that I pull off our actual database only has the current financial information, ID# and company name. Therefore, I need to do some kind of IF formula (I think? ...) whereby IF an ID# in the worksheet entitled "DATABASE" matches an ID# on the "Needs Updating" worksheet, the most current financial information contained in the "Database" worksheet (D:I) will replace the corresponding information ID's financial information on the "Needs Updating" worksheet.

Now, I can't just sort the list and copy and paste because new customers might have shown up on the list etc.

    Please HELP!!!!!!

It could probably be done more neatly with VBA code but I used VLOOKUP's.
I inserted a column to the right of every column you were interested in on the Needs Updating sheet, then named the data table (DataTable). The VLOOKUP for the first MTD number for example would be

Then if the new column is what you want, Copy and Paste Special >Values to remove the formulas and delete the extra columns.
    I attached my example.

May be insert some row then use VLOOKUP to update the value, then copy then and delete your original values?
