Find a Month and associated data within a Range

I have a slightly complex question. If I have a range of data and and I need Excel to find a month within the range, reference a certain cell based on the location of the month cell and pull data from the cell next to it. Is that even possible?

Below is an example of the data in excel I have:

OCT-04
ECO Start Date Design Stop Closed Holidays Business Days
14013 10/20/2004 12/23/2004 12/23/2004 2 45
AVG > 45
MEDIAN > 45
ECO> 1

Imagine each item in its own cell. I want to used a function/programming that searches for the average result in Oct-04 and pastes it into a different page. This is a simple example but I would be doing this with a 12-month set of data. Any suggestions or help?
