VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array,col_index_num,range_lookup)

look up value is iv1

table array is A1 TO Z500

How do i get it to look up IV1 in column C and return value in column A?

any help

thats fine but how do i change it from using the first column in the data range. I need it to use column C.third column

Vlookup does not work backwards, you will require index match....
