LOOKUP or VLOOKUP

Bit of a newbie to excel, but I've used a function before that I've now forgotten, and the spreadsheet I used it in is protected and I've also forgotten the password so I can't copy the formula...genius ey.
Anyway, I don't know what it's called, but this is the job I need to do and I'm hoping someone can guide me through it:
I have a drop-down list of quantity which I need to relate to another cell to display the price of the quantity. Eg: the customer selects a quantity of 1 and a price appears in the second cell, if they change it to 2 the price changes etc etc.
I'm using Excel 2007.

Sounds like you need LOOKUP or VLOOKUP

I did have a look at those but I can't figure out how to use them. I really don't know how I did it before...
Any way you could guide me through it?

You need to set up data validation and VLOOKUP in a similar manner
