    Unhappy drop down lists

I am fairly new to excel.
I am trying to put together a quotation worksheet for a friend but am having great difficulties. I am creating a quotation spreadsheet, what my friend would like is, through a drop down list to be able to click on a name in that drop down list and for that name to be linked with specific prices. Every name has a different set of prices and therefore cannot be calculated off the same sheet. Here is an example of the price list of one of the names IVORY BROWN
THE QUESTION IS HOW TO CREATE A SPREADSHEET THAT USES THE DROP DOWN LIST TO ACTIVATE A NEW SET OF PRICES FOR THE SELECTED NAME?

Welcome to the Forum. Please take the time to read the Forum Rules, your Title should not include unnecessary words like "Please help". This makes the Forum Search Engine more efficient.

To give us an idea of what you are doing attach a zipped example workbook.
    Hope that helps.

I really suggest that you spend a few minutes reading the Forum Rules. I have already edited this post in another sub forum because the title breaks the rules, now I find you posting in multiple forums which again breaks the rules.

catc1, you are completely ignoring the Rules - four posts of this question in as many forums. I have locked them until you acknowledge that you will follow the rules in future.

Sweep, I have hidden your reply until catc1 decides to follow the Rules.

You can actually use a VLOOKUP for this. In your lookup arrray, have each name and then the actual item (e.g., IVORY BROWN Square) in column 1 and the price in column 2. If your dropdown cell is A1 and Square is in A2, B2 (the price) could have =VLOOKUP(A$1&" "&A2,<data array>,2,False). Then you can drag that formula down. Another option is the Index/Match method, which takes the data array out to the right rather than down, but essentially accomplishes the same thing.

    Unhappy Data validation and lists

    My problem is
I have 50 diferent types of marble, they all fall into different price groups, in each price group, i need to calculate sqm price , upstands etc, so i am using the sum functions to calculate all the measurements etc
This is fine if i am using one price group.
What i want to do, is to click on a drop down list of all the 50 marbles on ONE worksheet and to be able to go and calculate the prices for that marble.
I have all the seperate price lists for the marbles on different worksheets, How can i combine them?

I hope i am making sense.
If you can help, do you think this is a big project for someone with very little excel experience?

    I have attached an example.
I want to use the same sheet for each marble group, but in each sheet there will be different calculations for different prices .
