    Comma Delim with Formula

    Hello,

I have a cell that is referenced to another sheet within Excel that is a merged cell of 5 rows and 5 columns. (i.e. ='First Sheet'!A1)

This cell contains information in information that is either 2 or 3 text characters long, some with a + sign (22+,555,RT+,KEW+)

I need to be able to separate the information by comma. But I need it to be able to allow me to edit the original cell in the First Sheet so that the changes made change the link as well. I have tried text to columns, but I can't figure out how to get it to work if there is a formula instead of values.

Next I need to be able to then reference what the + sign means (i.e. 22+ = 22,33,44,55,66,77,88,99)

    Thank you for your help!

Not sure I fully understand and I have a feeling this is too simple but is this kinda what you mean ? Imagine the Update tab is in a separate workbook... ?

    You have the general idea.

I am trying to get the 22+ in String 2, 555 in String 3, RT+ in String 4 and KEW+ in String 5.

But the trick is that I need this done like in the Update sheet. So that when I change the info in the Text To Columns sheet, it changes in the Update sheet in the columns.

For instance, I change 22+ to 44+, then the 22+ that would have been in the Update sheet in String 2 Column would then change to 44+

mmm, not sure if I might be getting a bit confused

If you do text to colums on the Cell A2 in the text to columns tab then 22+ stays in string one, 555 goes in to in string 2, RT+ to string 3 etc etc. This all also updates exactly the same in the Update tab

If I then type over 555 in string 2 on the text to columns tab then this also duplicates in the update tab so seeming (from my limited understanding of this) to work as you want it too

Whatever you type in the cells in Text to colums tab will duplicate and do the same in the Update tab...

If any of that makes sense ??
