Arrow auto-color / highlight based on a designated range

So I was designing a spreadsheet to auto-highlight when a number falls outside of a set range.

So, in Columns A & B, for example, I indicate the HIGH value and the LOW value. If the item in Column C falls above that indicated in Column A (high value), I want the values to highlight or color in, say, blue; if they fall below the LOW value indicated in Column B, I want it to highlight or color in red.

    Help?

You need two conditional formatting rules. In the first, =C1>A1 and for the second, =C1<B1. You can use the formatting tool in conditional formatting to get these to appear as you want.
