Allocating points to values within given cell range?

Hi, Is there a formula that will allocate points on a scale of 10 to 1 to the highest 10 values in a row? I.E. if, in column A1 to A25 I want to allocate 10 points to the highest value cell in that column, 9 points to the 2nd highest, 8 points to the 3rd highest........ etc etc; where would you start??????

In B1 enter:

=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A1,LARGE($A$1:$A$25,ROW($1:$10)),0)),11-MATCH(A1,LARGE($A$1:$A$25,ROW($1:$10)),0),"")

confirm it with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER.. you will see { } brackets appear around the formula... then copy it down

have cut and pasted your solution and it works in places although some cells have #N/A displayed instead of a value 1-10? But not to worry i've found another prob I need to sort first
