    vlookup question

I'd sure appreciate some help with this if anyone has some suggestions. I'm attaching a zip file with two (2) workbooks. The one titled "overtime" has two employees listed for this sample purpose. When an employee works any overtime it is listed in the appropriate date box affiliated with that employee. The sheet will reflect multiple similar days only due to the fact that overtime can be generated in multiple ways and an employee could submit more that one (1) overtime pay slip for any given day. So if they work 4 hours overtime on the 5th day of the month, a "4" would be placed in the appropriate day of the week, etc. At the end of this particular employees row a total will appear counting the total number of hours worked. I'd like to be able to determine the amount of money spent for this particular employee based on their wage(s) as determined in a separate workbook, which in this zip file will be titled "sicktime expenditure". In this 2nd workbook, it was created to determine how much money was spent when a particular employee called in sick and overtime had to be paid for other employees to cover their shift. A vlookup was created to do this. To add to the complexity, each employee can have step raises (per contract) and/or other raise dates, which can affect their wage based on the given date. Since this workbook already figures the wages based on the date entered, I'd like my overtime workbook to be able to somehow lookup (per individual employee) their wage(s) from the sicktime expenditure workbook, giving me the appropriate wage(s) for the date the hours are entered. I hope this makes sense! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
