    Displaying selected values only

    Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I'm having.

I have a stock control spreadsheet, which has a front end that displays a list of current stock on hand. It has 2 columns, the stock and the value next to it. When the stock levels go beyond a certain point I have the conditional formatting highlight it in red.

    My question is,

Is there anyway to have a seperate column which populates itself automatically with the Categories that are only displayed in red? Sort of an 'urgent shortlist for re-ordering' if you like.

    Many Thanks

It might be easier to work out if you could attach a sample of your workbook.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    Good point!

I have attached an early draft version. The 'Menu' tab, is where I am hoping to have a second table to draw up the 'short list' of low stock items..... Please excuse my antiquated transaction method (I couldn't think of any other way)

    Cheers

You can fnd some macro's at http://www.cpearson.com/excel/CFColors.htmwhich will determine if a conditional formatting is applied.
Starting from there it should be easy to build your table.
