Please forgive me if the answer is somewhere else here and I missed it.
Here's what I'm doing. Column A has a value in A1; this value will not change.
Cells "A2" through "A_Nth" will originally have a value of zero until, at a later time, a value other than zero is entered.
What I need to do is have excel take A1 and subtract the last cell that has a value greater than zero.
For example, Today, I have values greater than zero in cells A1:A96. Cell B1 (this is the cell that will hold the function and display the results) will subtract the value of A96 from A1 and produce the result. In seven more days, cells A1:A103 will have values greater than zero. Cell B1 now must subtract A103 from A1.
So, I need a function that recognizes the last cell in a column to have a value greater than zero and to subtract only that cell from cell A1.
Thank you.
