    Problem with Vlookup formula

    Is there a difference between
    Vlookup(A2, "Area", 2,0) and
    Vlookup(A2, "Area", 2,FALSE)????

for cell, lets say B2, I am using a Vlookup(A2, "Area", 2,FALSE) and "Area" is in another Worksheet in the same File. For some reason, when i go to "Area" and change the Cell Corresponding to A2, The Vlookup Formula does not return the changed value. It still had the old value. I click F9 to refresh but the cell still doesn't update the value. However, when i doubleclick on the cell B2, and click enter, then the cell updated to the changed value.

When i use Vlookup(A2, "Area", 2,0), then this doesn't seem to be a problem. Why is this? Why isn't my cell updating to the changed value when i used the Vlookup(A2, "Area", 2,FALSE)???? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Make sure yoiur data type is the same. In some cases, if you bring in a number, it won't actually be recognised by excel as a number until you edit it, or multiply it by 1.....

If this isn't the trick, then can you put up a sample workbook with the before situation, and what you do / change to make it work.
