Need formula for a check register (balance column)

Can someone please tell me how to write a formula for the cells in the balance column to deduct debits and add credits?
Example: Col A Debit, Col B Credit, Col C Balance
I want a formula in Col C to subtract Col A and add Col B.

Type Check Register in the help search bar in Excel. There's a groovy template to download for free. I just looked that up myself earlier today. :-)
