CellA = CellB only if CellB has text

I want a function that will make cellA=cellB only if Cell B has a value. Cell B may or may not have a value in the cell, but if it does it will be text (not numeric).

    Thanks!

    e.g.

    In A1 enter =IF(B1<>"",B1,"")
Where there is a will there are many ways.
