Removing spaces

Hi,

How do I remove the spaces around a character. If A1 contains " B " I would like to create a formula in c1 so that it would remove the spaces around the "B". Please help Thanks.

There are several options
If there are no other spaces in your range, highlight the range and do a search and replace on blanks.
If you want initial and final blanks removed, in another cell/column try

TRIM removes excess blanks and CLEAN removes unprintable characters (which are often mistaken for blanks by the user).
Then you can paste special>values back on top of the original cells
