I've created a worksheet in which one column contains drop-down lists. Only a few values are allowed.

The problem is: I want to automatically calculate how many there are of each value, and put the result of each value in a different cell. For example, if option #1 appears 20 times, I want "20" to appear in a certain cell. The same goes for option #2, the result of that would then go in a cell next to the "20".

How can I do this?

I think it should be possible using "if opt#1, then add 1 to cell B4" , for example, but I don't know how to accomplish this.
