    VLOOKUP problems

So I'm using the attached spreadsheet as a fantasy soccer project. Under the 1st worksheet tab, various cells using the VLOOKUP function are returning results that reference a cell. For instance, Cell I-8 has a result of "=D51"

How do i get it to display the actual result?

G'day and welcome to the forum,

What you need to do is go the cell which displays those references and change the format to general.

Click on the cell D51 change the format from text to general then click in the formula bar then press enter.

Then to the following for the other cells

    VLOOKUP problems

The format of the cells is already set to general, and is still displaying results such as =D51 instead of the correct text it should display.

Also, the formula requires that commas be used, which I double checked, and they have been used properly.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi,
    What should be displayed?
The vlookup formula is displaying what you have asked for!

    VLOOKUP problem

It should be displaying the contents of D51, not =D51.

    G'day PLtech,

Please do the following at these cells

    D55, D56, D75, D76, D77, D78, D96, D97, D98,

Click on the cell change the format from text to general then click in the formula bar then press enter.

    Please do this individually.

This should fix all your problems across the spreadsheet.
