I have a challenging task ahead of me and I thought the members of ExcelTip.com would be a great way to start!
What I am seeking is a formula of some sort, but its hard to explain. To get a better idea of what I'm about to explain, please download the excel file I am working on.
What I'm trying to do for a co-worker is add a formula to the first sheet (Written Premium...) after Number of Years with Farmers. This formula needs to be able to search all of the other sheets in the file by Policy Number. If it finds a matching Policy Number, it needs to drag over the value of the cell under Loss Paid.
Its very confusing when I word it out, but its just hard to explain in general and I'm very sorry.
Once it brings over the value, there are some other things I need it to do, but I will take this 1 step at a time. Any help is greatly appriciated and I wish you all the best of luck. Feel bad for the guy that came to me, have no knowledge of Excel as its not a part of my every day duties
