Extract last day of month from text month

Hold do I get the end date of a month for the current year (I assume EOMONTH is involved somewhere) from only a text month. e.g.' September' = 30/9/2016, 'January' = 31/1/2016. Next year 'September' would return 30/9/2017, 'January' would return 31/1/2017?

This works for me (U.S. regional date format)...

A1 = some month name like September

=EOMONTH(1&A1&YEAR(NOW()),0)

Format as Date
