IF Stmt based on color

Is it possible to set up an IF statement (or SumIF) based on the color of the entry?
In other words can Excel do one thing to a cell if the text is black or another if it is red?

Hi and welcome to the board
I don't know about XL 2007, but with other versions you'll need VBA to do this.

Thanks for the quick reply...I should have mentioned that the color would be set manually and not conditionally...this is also for 2007
