Does a function exist that will multiply to rows together and then sum the resulting products without having to make additional columns

Col 1 Col 2
1 1
2
3 2
4 1
5

Answer = 11

You can use SUMPRODUCT...

=SUMPRODUCT(A1:A5,B1:B5)
