How to populate several cels with the same value when entered into primary cel?

    Hello everyone!

The title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for a formula that allows me to input data into a primary cel and it populates several other cels through my worksheet with that same value so I do not have to do it manually.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a million!

I basically have an equasion where I need a negative number to flow through a few equasions without manually entering that negative number in each location. The location of the primary cel is not really important, but for example-sake, lets say it is G7 and I need the information that I put into G7 to automatically flow into J7, K7, and M13, for instance.

    Thanks!

Suppose you want the data in cell G7 to go into other cell..

    Select any cell..

    Enter =$G$7

Copy and paste this where ever you want..

Now type anything in G7 .. it will automatically update in those cell..

That is great! Thank you very much!

Now a modification to my question. So with =$G$7 in a cel, everything will go back to G7 for reference.

    Say I have a value in G7 that I want displayed in J7 & K7.

    Now...

what if I also have a different value in G9 that I want displayed in J9 & K9 on the same workbook. Short of modifying the formula above every single time is there a way that I can always make the values in column J and K reflect what is in column G, but stay specific to that row?

    For example:
G7 might have a value of -500.00 which will then flow into J7 and K7.
G9 however might be -623.00 which i need to flow into J8 and K8.
G15 could be -88.88 which will flow into J15 and K8.
    etc etc etc.

Is there a way to do that without manually modifying the "=$G$7" equasion in every cel?

    Thanks!

    Enter
    =G7 in J7 and K7

Select J7 and K7 together and copy the cells (right click mouse and select copy)

    select J8 and paste it
    Select J9 and paste it...

    and
    Select J15 and paste it..

or U can simply select both the cells and drag it down
