    hiding cells that are null

    I am using this function:
    =IF('January 2009'!E43="J. Doe",'January 2009'!H43,"")
    =IF('January 2009'!E43="J. Doe",'January 2009'!H43,"")
    etc.....
The problem that I have, is that if E43 does not equal J. Doe, it leaves that entire row blank. Is there a way to conditionally format a row, so that if the entire row is blank, then it is hidden? Otherwise, I am getting pages and pages of entires, and half of them are blank.

    Thanks,

    jt

    How about autofilter?
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

I can't say, without seeing your workbook.

For starters, you could see Help for About filtering.
