    Summing across worksheets

This is a simple issue: I want to sum the column contents from column K across all the worksheets in my .xls. doc.

When I click through all of the worksheets I get:

    =SUM('7-25-08'!K:K+'8-01-08'!K:K+'8-08-08'!K:K+'8-15-08'!K:K+'8-22-08'!K:K+'8-29-08'!K:K+'9-5-08'!K:K+'9-12-08'!K:K+'9-19-08'!K:K+'9-26-08'!K:K+'10-3-08'!K:K+'10-10-08'!K:K+'10-17-08'!K:K+'10-24-08'!K:K+'10-31-08'!K:K+'11-7-08'!K:K+'11-14-08'!K:K+'11-21-08'!K:K+'11-28-08'!K:K+'12-7-08'!K:K+'12-14-08'!K:K+'12-21-08'!K:K+'12-28-08'!K:K)

Is there a way to refer to a range of worksheets without having to click through all of them?

    Thanks, J

    Summing a range of sheets

    Try this...

Insert a new worksheet BEFORE the first sheet.
    Name the new sheet: FirstSheet

Insert a new worksheet AFTER the last sheet.
    Name the new sheet: LastSheet

Now this formula sums Col_K in all sheets between FirstSheet and LastSheet, inclusive:

    Does that help?

Brilliant! Thanks. The format of this also gives me the way to use it more creatively in the future.
