    Auto numbering for different names

    hi all i need help on this.

    eg: i have to insert numbers in column a and the names in column b.

    wht i require is :

    andrew 1
    andrew 2
    chris 1
    chris 2
    daniel 1
    daniel 2
    daniel 3

    anyone can help?

    If the names start at B2 and are sorted, put the following in cell A2 and fill down as required:
