format number of decimal places to show

Is there a way to format a cell based upon a condition? If the cell value is <1, I want to show two decimal places. If the cell is >1, I want to show zero decimal places. I tried to use the conditional formatting, but there is no option for this. Thanks.

Something like

0;-0.00

You could perhaps use a Custom Format on the cells in question, eg:

[>=1]#,##0;[<1]#,##0.00;
