Hyperlink to a pdf on my network

    Hello,
I am a novice Excel user at best. However, I have created a spreadsheet in Excel and now would like to insert hyperlinks to documents on my company network. (ie. S Drive). The Excel worksheet resides on the same network drive as the other documents I would like to link to...but I can't figure out how to do this.

    Example:

I have a cell in which I want to display "click for venue map" and you click on it, and it opens up a pdf of the map.

Can anyone tell me step by step how to do this? I assumed I could do it using the HYPERLINK function, but it's not working so far for me.

    Any help would be appreciated!!!!

    Thanks!
    Tammy

Type in the cell "Click for venue map"...then right click the cell and choose hyperlink...select the file you want to have opened....Wallaa...you have a hyperlink to that file.
