    Function - Choose Formula2

    I have one excel sheet having "Drawings" logs / register. Different columns are having different data as under :-
    Column A = Drawing No.
    Column B = Revision (1) Submit Date
    Column C = Revision (1) Recd Date
    Column D = Revision (1) Status
    Column E = Revision (2) Submit Date
    Column F = Revision (2) Recd Date
    Column G = Revision (2) Status
    Column H = Revision (3) Submit Date
    Column I = Revision (3) Recd Date
    Column J = Revision (3) Status
    Column K = Revision (4) Submit Date
    Column K = Revision (4) Recd Date
    Column M = Revision (4) Status

    Excel File is nos attached. I need a better formula than the one I am using (Choose function) as per the attached excel file. Anyone can help? Thank you. Ananthakrishnan. K.

    I think the Choose formula is fine for the challenges you are giving it, although you could easily swap it for a vlookup (using a table or virtual array) or even remove the need for the second formula by incorporating it into the initial formula, ie

    I can't see any easy way of shortening your initial formula (ie the above) but there may be some more knowledgeable people about who can shorten this down...
    Daddylonglegs/others, is there anything you can suggest?

    Hi Rob,
    Thanks! However, I am expecting anybody suggest with more easier formula than yours (and the one I do). I hope there is easier formula using "Index" / "Match" etc. Hope to receive better suggestion from you and others. Thank you once again. Ananthakrishnan K.
