Smile create multiple columns from single

I need to be able to convert a long column(500+) of single cell data into multiple columns of data(8-10 columns). I cando it with cut and paste, but wondered if there was a simpler way to automate this procedure.

How do you know where to divide out the cell contents?

If it's a definite character like a space or comma, etc.. you can use Data|Text to Columns and Select Delimited, then click Next and choose your delimiter...
Where there is a will there are many ways.
