I have a number of Cell names LR0Cost, EX0Cost, IM0cost that hold %
formula might beHow can I get the "LR" and "EX" portion to be linked to another cell+a5*LR0Cost
i.e. +a5*(cell b5 = LR)0cost or +a5*(cell b6 = EX)0cost
Cheers

hi Matthew,
Have a look at the Excel Help files for the "Indirect" function.

Hi from the 'Naki!
i.e.
+a5*INDIRECT(B5&"0cost")
or
+a5*INDIRECT(B6&"0cost")
Does your formula actually start with a "+" or was that a typo? I know it works, but I'm just curious why you'd use it instead of the "="
cheers
Ex-Lotus user. It still works in Excel.

Many Thanks Guys,
I had tried Indirect ,
but obviously not the correct way.
the + was a typo
Cheers
Matthew
