Converting Excel 2007 formula to work in Excel 2003

    Hi folks,
This is my first post. I am making a spread sheet for my wife to use at work using Excel 2007. This forumla works but I need help converting the formula below for use in Excel 2003. Also once converted how do I lock the spread sheet so the formula will not be accidently erased or changed?

    =COUNTIFS(Audits!B11:V11,1,Audits!B17:V17,"x",Audits!B21:V21,"x")+COUNTIFS(Audits!B32:V32,1,Audits!B38:V38,"x",Audits!B42:V42,"x")+COUNTIFS(Audits!B53:V53,1,Audits!B59:V59,"x",Audits!B63:V63,"x")

    Thank you for your help.

    Todd

    Hello Todd,

typically you can use SUMPRODUCT for multiple conditions in excel 2003 (i.e. to mimic COUNTIFS or SUMIFS), for example, for the first COUNTIFS function in your formula this would be the equivalent SUMPRODUCT version

    =SUMPRODUCT((Audits!B11:V11=1)*(Audits!B17:V17="x")*(Audits!B21:V21="x"))
    Audere est facere
