    Multiplication

    Hi,

    I'm trying to find a formula to accomplish the multiplication I want.

    See the screenshot I've attached, it's easier to understand if you see it.

    I want to:

    Multiply the first cell in a row by the first cell in a column.
    Multiply the second cell in a row by the second cell in a column.
    Multiply the third cell in a row by the third cell in a column.
    etc.

    So that I have n*m formulas. But it would be annoying to type n*m formulas out... I want to be able to drag the formula across all the cells and let it fill in the appropriate values.

    In H5 put this formula:

    =$E5 * H$3

    I'm guessing at the row numbers since you left them out of the pic. Then copy the cell down and over.

    Tried something similar, not sure why I didn't think of that.
