Can text format be Transfered through Index or Lookup Functions?

I think the title pretty much sums this one up.. I highlighted a word in a sentence in a cell and was wandering if there is a way to transfer that formatting to my index or lookup cell. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED..

You can't do this via formula. Only a macro would be able to do so. If that's of interest, let us know.
