Effect cell from other cell input

I have a spreadsheet which is being used to track approval status. Row K is used to track the date approval was submitted (this turns yellow when 1 day has past, and red when 2 days have past). Row M is used to track approval has been received. What I would like to do is when I put an X in row M showing approval has been recieved, the submitted date turns green. Your assistance is greatly appriciated; I am hoping to have this spreadsheet done today. I have attached my example working copy for your reference!

    Thank you,

    Hi,

simply add another conditional format to the date submitted

    =$M2="x"

    DNASok,

There seemed to be no conditional formatting in your workbook.

See the attached workbook "Worksheet_Change Event - Modification Tracking Spreadsheet example(1) - DNASok - SDG09.xlsm" with a "Worksheet_Change" Event that is triggered by entering "x" or "X" in column M, the background color in the respective row in column K will be changed to green.

If you delete the "x" or "X" in column M, the background color in column K will be cleared.
    Have a great day,

Re: Effect cell from other cell input

Again, thank you; but I would like to do one last function...I think!

I would like to track those that are still open in a seperate spreadsheet. For example; Rev C is closed, Rev D is open (awaiting final approval), and Rev E is awaiting initial approvals). I have added in column U (AWP and APR for Awaiting Approval and Approval Recieved respectively), and column V (OPEN and CLOSED). What I would like to have on a seperate sheet would be a list of Awaiting Initial Approvals and Awaiting Final Approvals. With the above example, and attached spreadsheet; Rev C would not show up as all approvals (initial and final) have been received, Rev D would show up in the Awaiting Final Approval as initial approvals have been received, and Rev E would show up in the Awaiting Initial Approval as initial approvals have not been received.

This will be used to for management quick review to see what the statuses are, without having to go to the working groups massive spreadsheet.
