    Route formula

Anyone know the formula for finding routes of exponents greater than 3?

Actually, what I am trying to do is the following:

I have three columns of numbers, lets say columns A and B and C.

Column A contains a sequence of numbers. Column B contains all numbers the same, which are being used as an exponent.

Column C contains a formula displaying the result of number in column A, with another (external) formula applied, then raised to the power of the number in column B.

Number in column B (the exponent applied) is always greater than three.

I need column D to display the column B route of C.

In other words, if column B contains all 4's, Column C is displaying "N" to the fourth power (some number raised to the power of 4). I need column D to show what "N" is.

If column B is 5, column C is showing "N" to the fifth power, and I still need to know what "N" is.

    Does that make sense?

Is there a formula I can place in column D that will give me this?

    Thanks in advance.[/SIZE]
