    Indirect (with copying down rows)

Hi, I'm assuming this is extremely easy, but I'm trying to figure out how to have the row number change when I copy the following equation down.

    =INDIRECT("'"&F$7&"'!e85")

Where cell F7 refers to the tab that I want to pull cell E85 from. Thus, when I copy the equation down, I would like cell E85 to change to E86, etc.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Terry

Re: Indirect Equation Issue (with copying down rows)

You don't specify in which cell the first formula is placed - for sake of demo let's assume F8

    =INDIRECT("'"&F$7&"'!E"&84+ROWS(F$8:F8))
    copied down

change reference to F8 to be the containing the first formula - note the use of $

Thanks for the quick reply. Never would have figured that out on my own.
