Pivot table comptability between 2003 & 2007

I was wondering if anyone can please help me with my query. I am using excel 2007 and working on some data and created a pivot table but my colleagues who work with me are on 2003 and cant use the pivot table. i have tried saving it as excel 97 - 2003 but this onyl enables them to open the file and not change the pivot table. thank you

You must create the Pivots in Compatibility Mode within XL2007 - eg before creating the Pivots save the file as .xls, close and re-open, create the Pivots, save again - distribute.
