Column not being recognized in forumla

The code shown below, has been working fine within my spreadsheet, I have been making changes, but nothing that would affect the formula

I have been changing the columns to test it and it reads column A,B,C,F alright, but will not read column D

Could the problem be that in column E there is an array formula which is kinder connected to D. The code below is in the worksheet and enters a formula in column E if the cell in Column D is populated

Would this affect the the code above....

Shouldn't affect it as far as I see. Can you post some data?

    Out of curiosity why

Re: Column not being recognized in forumla

Im not very good with VB coding, and I'm slowly getting to grips witht ehformula and other stuff, so a lot of code in my spreadsheet has been from you helpfuly guru's like your self.
So using sumproduct was a suggestion that another forum member came up with and it worked, I think i tried the countif and it did produce the required result.

But i did try it again to see if it would sort out my problem, but it didn't

Just been playing around with it and it seems to recognize alphanumeric data int he column, i.e. 1a, 2b, 23c etc, but when i enter just normal numbers like 2,45,6,3,11 etc it does not count them...???
