    Quoted Price $100
    Negotiated Price $80.

    Thanks a lot teylyn.
Just another small dout, what will the following calculation result.

    Quoted Price $100 100 100
    Negotiated Price $80. 80 80
    Gain =B2-B3 20

    Gain % = B3/B2 ?
Is this calculation of Gain Percentage correct.

No, I meant: can you put into words what you want to calculate, i.e. can you describe what the calculation should be? You do the logic, I do the formula based on your logic.

    Re: Calculation Gain Percentage

    Hi,
I want to calculate the gain %.
    Example:
    Quoted Price $100
    Negotiated Price $90
    Profit/Gain $10.
In this case what shall be the gain percentage achived.
(Is the logic = Gain divided by Quoted Price or Gain divided by Negotiated Price)

That is exactly what I'd like to learn from you. This is a maths question, not an Excel problem.

I'd go for Gain divided by Quoted Price.
