    Simple Sum If calculation not working

    I have a sum if conditional calculation that looks like this in the formula bar:

    {=SUM(IF(($F8:$F232="Canada")*($G8:$G232="Purple"),I8:I232))}

    It copy/pastes perfectly fine to other cells and gives me the total of I8:I232 based on the conditional values in F and G. It works fine.

    But if a make any change to the cell ranges, conditional values, or even click in the formula bar and press enter, the {} brackets disappear and I receive a #Value! error.

    WTF ???

    Your formula looks like an Array Formula, You need to enter an Array Formula with Ctrl & Shift & Enter

    You may want to check out SumProduct for easier maintenance
