    Identifying earliest expiration date/time

I have a spreadsheet in which I would like the conditional formatting to define which date/time expires first via a color change and bold font. The date/time column in which I would like Excel to flag the earliest date/time combination has a cell format of dd/mmm/yy h:mm AM/PM. Thus far I have been unsuccessful. The spreadsheet is written in Excel 2000. Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi,

Assuming the date/time data is in excel format (not text) and is stored in column A.

    Highlight column A

Use conditional formatting triggered by the formula =MIN(A:A)
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1
