Return the value of a check box label

Worksheet 1 has 13 check boxes with label names. Only one of these checkboxes will be checked. I need a cell in worksheet 2 to show the name of the label of the box that was checked. Can this be done or is it wishful thinking?

where are the checkboxes from, Control for Forms toolbar?

do you have the text used for the labels stored on the worksheet, if so then you should be able to use formula to determine which if any is checked and display associated text.

If only 1 checkbox can be checked would you not be better off with option buttons?

They are from the forms toolbar. No the labels aren't stored in the cells, they are just the labels from the properties section. The area that the checkbox covers is actually over the width of two cells (out of necessity due to the formatting of the rest of the sheet), sort of just slapped on top of the cells and not a part of them. I inherited the form from a previous employee and am more than willing to change it, provided I can fit the same information in the same space.

I've tried copying sections from the worksheets in question but they won't paste onto this form. I could email them if anyone would like to take a look and give suggestions.

Great! Thanks for being so patient! I'm trying to get the name of the school checkbox from SFS-4 worksheet to be shown in cell D2 of the Breakfast and Lunch Edit Check Worksheets. This will avoid me having to make 13 sets of prefilled forms for 13 different folders on our group drive. Both Edit Check worksheets will be locked and protected so the end users will not be able to enter any information. All information will automatically pull from the SFS-4.

Actually I think it was spot on :P

You can either hide the table of values and names or set the font to the same light blue colour.

As I said before checkboxes allow for multiple locations so I think you should be using option buttons.
