    Problem with UDF Array Function

    I am having trouble using the formula below. It works fine in the worksheet, but when used as a custom function an error is returned. The goal is to add everything between the two ranges. I have used the formulaarray because I have to do it that way in the worksheet.

    Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    No need to make this Volatile as I see it ... you really don't want to have Volatile UDF's if you can help it - esp. if they are expensive calculations.

    Thank you DonkeyOte. I am not sure how I might add one more parameter to the equation.
    For a different, yet similar, function I would like to substitute a different range for the last part of the equation. Such as :

    If we assume it's possible for weights range to be located on a different sheet object to that of Mcap then:

    If weights is on the same sheet object as Mcap then Weights.Address should suffice.
