Compare cell function

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Excel 2007 for a data. In one .xls file I have data in sheet 1 and also in sheet 2. My problem is as defined below:

In sheet one there are columns namely A, B, C and D and it has 1000 rows. In sheet two there are column namely A, B, C and D and it has 3000 rows. Now I want to compare data of Sheet1!B1 to Sheet2!B1 : Sheet2!B3000 and if match is found it will transfer that particular column C row value to Sheet1 C row value.

Basically in above I tried to explain that I need a function which will compare Sheet1!B1 value to Sheet2!B1 to Sheet2!B3000 value, say if the value of Sheet1!B1 has a match found in Sheet2!B1000 then Sheet2!C1000 value will be copied to Sheet1!C1000.

Hope everybody understands this, would be great if anybody in here would help me out with this.

In Sheet1 C1 and copy down,

=VLOOKUP(B1, Sheet2!B$1:C$3000, 2 FALSE)
