Auto Static Date in Excel

    Auto Static Date in Excel

    hi,
    Current I want use this function IF(G32:G42=activated,Today(),""). but tomorrow I open the it and the day will changed to next days. the problem is how to fix it ?
    (this function will fill at K5:K132)

    This doesn't make sense. IF is used to test one cell, you are testing 11, should they all say activated, and if so, which cell in K5:K132 gets the date?

    You would have to use VBA to put a static date in the cell based on when the value of G-cells changes to "activated". There is no built-in formula to populate a cell with a static date.

    You could use Iterative calculations - whether you should is a different issue.

    I agree with Bob that the range references are somewhat confusing - and I would suggest posting a sample to better illustrate requirements but in terms of "circular references"

    with iteration enabled once the date is set in K5 it won't change thereafter.
