    Extracting data froma row

I have a row B22:F22 (and B23:F23 etc) which contains the results of a search and comprises 4 false answers and one true answer which is a text value (VG, G, F, P, VP - very good to very poor) and the location of this answer could be in any og the 5 columns. I need to extract this correct answer into the corresponding row in column G. I have tried combinations of If, Index, Match and Hlookup but seem to be doing something wrong.

    Re: Extracting data froma row

This is a little tough to explain, but if you adjust this formula so the "d" part represents the values in all the bad cells, then the one cell with a correct text value should appear:

    =LOOKUP(2, 1/($B22:$F22<>"d"), $B22:$F22)

    ...or

    =LOOKUP(2, 1/($B22:$F22<>"False"), $B22:$F22)

    ...or

    =LOOKUP(2, 1/($B22:$F22<>0), $B22:$F22)

You get the idea, play around with it.
