Automatically referencing separate files with typed filepath

I would like to type a file path in to a cell and run a macro that will populate another cell with information from a cell in another file. Here is the macro that I have so far in an attempt to accomplish this.

Here is the file path that is entered in the cell:
    C:\Documents and Settings\userName\Desktop\workBench\Folder1\[Excel1.xls]

My admittedly limited knowledge tells me that this *should* work. Unfortunately each time I run the macro I am forced to browse to the file in a dialog box anyway. Help!!

I believe I've discovered the issue. In my noobness I forgot to include code to actually open the files. So, when the macro was run, I was required to designate the new active window by finding the file each time. I'd call this one solved for now, but I may need some more help later on.
