Exclamation Creating a Financial Forumla Excel 2003

I am running a business and i am trying to make a formula so that whenever my employee types in a certain number (which will have a range) it automatically gives the profit.

For example I work with Credit Scores and Monthly Monitoring Fees.

    Example... Credit Score is 650 - they pay 40/month - - - Profit $10.

But i need the credit score to have a range like lets say 600-650 is average with a 40/month package... i want it to automaticly put the profit ill get depending on the range of numbers between the credit score and monthly rates.

Any ideas? It's kind of confusing, any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

Best to start by building a lookup table. First column would be credit score, second column would be profit. Then you can use a VLOOKUP formula to find the profit.

I have attached a file, that should help you. All you need to do is input the correct data into the data table, and then the employee will be able to type the Credit Score into the cell A2 and it will retrieve the information you are seeking., If you want, you can cut the table and paste it into another sheet for a cleaner look, and to prevent any unwanted data change. Hope this helps...
